Our Refund Policy outlines when and how users (parents/students) may seek a refund for home tutoring services booked via our platform. 1. Purpose of the Policy

This Refund Policy is designed to protect the interests of both clients (parents/students) and tutors engaged via Expert-Ease. It supports fair usage, allows for flexibility, and ensures accountability in service delivery.

Tutors conduct in-person demo classes at nominal charges. Demo recordings are provided free.

Upon approval, tuition begins as per your chosen subscription plan.

Hassle-Free Refunds & Replacements

If things don't work out, we offer smooth tutor replacements or refunds (see below).

3. Refund Eligibility Criteria

You may be eligible for a full or partial refund under the following circumstances:

a) Tutor Assignment Delay

If no tutor is assigned within 7 business days after demo approval and fee payment, you are eligible for a 100% refund.

b) Tutor Discontinuation or Absence

If the assigned tutor discontinues mid-course or fails to commence scheduled classes, the unused portion of the tuition fee will be refunded on a prorated basis.

c) Student Discontinuation

In the event of discontinuation of tutoring services by the Student/User (hereinafter referred to as "the Client") after commencement of classes, the following refund terms shall apply:

Refund in Case of Eligible Grounds:

Where the discontinuation is on account of verifiable and justifiable circumstances deemed eligible by the Company, and supported by documentary evidence to the satisfaction of the Company (such as serious medical conditions, relocation due to transfer of employment, or other reasons as determined on a case-by-case basis), a refund amounting to fifty percent (50%) of the tuition fee for the classes already conducted shall be processed in favour of the Client.

The remaining fifty per cent (50%) of the fees for the completed sessions shall be deducted as penalty charges towards administrative, scheduling, and opportunity costs incurred by the Company and the allocated Tutor.

Non-Eligible Grounds:

Where the reason for discontinuation is deemed non-eligible or unjustified, including but not limited to dissatisfaction with the tutor without substantiated cause, change of mind, or failure to adhere to the agreed schedule without intimation, no refund shall be granted for the classes already conducted.

The Company retains sole discretion in determining the eligibility of the refund request based on the facts, documentation provided, and internal evaluation.

General Conditions:

  • No refund shall be entertained for unattended or missed sessions unless cancellation is made in accordance with the rescheduling or cancellation policy of the Company.
  • The refund, if applicable, shall be processed within 15 (fifteen) working days from the date of approval of the refund request, subject to completion of all requisite formalities.

d) Unsatisfactory Services

If the Parent, Legal Guardian, or student finds the teaching ineffective after the first 5 sessions, we will:

  • Offer an alternative tutor within 5 business days, or
  • Refund the unused portion if no replacement is accepted.

e) Class Cancellations by Tutor

If a tutor cancels a session or terminates service permanently without prior notice, the affected portion of fees will be refunded in full.

f) No-Show for Demo Class

If the demo session is scheduled but not conducted by the tutor, we will refund the demo fee in full.

4. Non-Refundable Situations

Refunds will not be processed in the following situations:

  • The student or parent voluntarily stops sessions after 15% of the term is completed.
  • In the event that a student is absent from scheduled classes without prior notice and without providing a valid reason, including a medical certificate where applicable, such absence shall be deemed unexcused and may result in forfeiture of the session without any refund or rescheduling obligation on the part of Expert-Ease.
  • Services were availed through promotional offers or discounted subscription schemes (unless explicitly refundable).
  • Refund requests are made after 10 days of the last completed class in that billing cycle.

5. Payment Schedule & Long-Term Subscriptions

  • Payment is collected in advance after successful demonstration.
  • Subscription plans are available as:
Hourly
Monthly
Quarterly (3 months)
Half-Yearly (6 months)
Annual (12 months) – includes one-month waiver.

Refunds for long-term plans are calculated prorated, deducting any free/waived months or concessions availed.

6. Refund Request Process

To initiate a refund:

Include: Registered phone number, payment proof, tutor name, and reason for the refund.

We will acknowledge the request within 48 hours, and process eligible refunds within 7–10 working days to your original payment method.

We strive to resolve all concerns internally. However, for legal disputes, users may approach the appropriate consumer forum under the laws of India.

8. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

This policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Any dispute arising under or in connection with this policy shall fall under the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra only.

9. Changes to This Policy

Expert-Ease may revise this Refund Policy as needed to reflect changes in our services, pricing, or legal obligations. Any updates will be posted on our website, and users will be notified in case of significant changes.
